This is the prefect itinerary for adventure and wildlife enthusiasts. You will experience Africa’s most amazing wildlife encounter with the opportunity of tracking the endangered Mountain Gorillas in the heart of the World Heritage Site known as the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It is estimated that there are only about 880 left throughout the world. Almost half of them can be found in Uganda, and the rest of the populations can also be found in neighboring Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

On arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your representative from Kesy Tours and Travels who will then transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe for the overnight.

Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Kihihi Airstrip where you will be met by our vehicle. You will then be chauffeured to your accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Best known for its Mountain Gorillas the Montane Forest also attracts spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics including the African Green Broadbill, Bar Tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. After lunch you will be invited to join us for a guided walk to explore the various plants and birds that we find along the way. In the evening we will enjoy the sunset and an early dinner, before retiring to our comfortable rooms to prepare for the next day’s early start.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking

We rise early before heading to the ranger station. On arrival the rangers you will then receive a briefing from our lead ranger, who will go over the regulations and give you a briefing about the gorilla family that you are about to meet. The rainforest is spectacular, heavily vegetated and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for trekkers. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these fantastic apes. The thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giants is a rare and moving adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. We will return to the lodge in the afternoon.

Day 4: Bwindi to Entebbe

After a relaxing morning, you will be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe departing at 14:05 and arriving in Entebbe at 15:55 (an early morning flight is also available most days). A day room or overnight accommodations can be arranged upon request (optional at extra cost).
